* 25th July 1922 + 5th September 2018 Lt.Peart joined RNZAF in May 1941 and he joined 81st Squadron. First he was flying bomber-escorts over France. In October 1942 the Squadron prepared to go overseas. In June 1943 the unit moved across to Malta to prepare for the invasion of Sicily. In the June 1944, he was awarded the DFC. |
