In 1942 Everett Miller finished flight training.
He was assigned to the 1st Fighter Group, on the 16th April 1944 he flew his first mission.
Capt. Miller flew 273 combat hours, which included seven missions to the oil refineries at Ploesti, Romania.
He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with nine Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Presidential Unit Citation with three Oak Leaf Clusters.


Captain Miller was an US fighter ace credited with 5 victories and 2 damaged.
