* 9th November 1918 + 16th March 2000 Tom Ferebee joined the army and was assigned as a bombardier in the European theater. He completed more than 60 bombing missions. In 1944 he joined the 509th Composite Group which was formed to deliver the atomic bomb. |
| Col. Ferebee was the bombardier on the Enola Gay, the plane that dropped the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. |
