* 28th February 1923 + 20th February 2011 US Fighter pilot who was in 1943 assigned to the Supermarine Spitfire equipped 31st Fighter Group of the 12th Air Force. In April 1944 he joined 31st Fighter Group at Castel Voltumo, Italy and led the 308th Fighter Squadron into combat seven times and the entire 31st FG into battle twice. |
