Jack  Ilfrey

Capt. Ilfrey was sent to England with his 1st Fighter Group in the spring of 1942.
His victories made him the first ace in the 94th Fighter Squadron and the second pilot to be an ace in the P-38.
On June 12th 1943, Jack and his squadron successfully dive bombed a bridge that crossed the Loire River and destroyed the locomotive.
Since March 1944 he was the commander officer of 20th Fighter Group.


In two combat tours, he flew 142 missions and is credited with 7.5 confirmed victories.
