* 13th July 1915 + 11th October 2007 US Fighter pilot, volunteered to join the American Volunteer Group in China in 1941. The AVG would soon be known as the Flying Tigers. Hill commanded the 412th Fighter Group, the first jet unit in the Army Air Forces. |
