* 29th November 1919 + 12th November 2004 Sgt. Loch joined the Army Air Corps in 1941. Since February 1943 he flew as a top turret gunner with B-17 heavy bomber called Memphis Belle as a member of 91st Bomb Group, 324th Bombardment Squadron. Initially, the Memphis Belle flew missions into France and the Low countries, but in early 1943, Germany became the target. On 17 May 1943, crew completed the last mission. |
