* 8th February 1921 + 16th January 2014 Lt. Troup completed training for dive bombers and joined Fighting Squadron 29 (VF-29). VF-29 was in October 1944 boarded on the USS Cabot. On the 15th October had Lt. Troup his first kill, when he shoted down twin engine bomber. On the 29th October was his plane heavily damaged and he landed on the water. He received 3 Air Medals and 2 DFCs. |
