* 10th October 1921 + 15th January 2015 In March 1942, Harvey joined 486 Squadron equipped with the Hawker Hurricane MkIIB. In August 1943 he was awarded the DFC (as a second pilot of the squadron). From the middle of 1944 he became heavily involved to protect London and southeast England from the V1 flying bombs. |
