Franz  Halder

Franz Halder began his military career in 1902.
He participated in the strategic planning for all operations in the first part of the war.
In 1942 he was dismissed after frequent disagreements with Adolf Hitler.
After 20 July assassination attempt on Hitler's life he was arrested. In April 1945 he was liberated from their SS guards by members of the Heer.

Generaloberst of the German Army during World War II., the chief of the Oberkommando des Heeres staff (1938 - 1942). He participated on: Invasion of Poland, Battle of France, Operation Barbarossa.
